Who says only women get to have smoother, healthier, younger-looking skin? Many of Dr. Acosta’s patients in Los Angeles are men. Cosmetic treatments for women do not differ much from those for men.
What are men’s services available at Primary Skin Care & Aesthetics?
There are a variety of services available for men at our clinic. During their initial consultation with Dr. Acosta, the patient’s skin type and condition is assessed. This will help Dr. Acosta determine the type of treatment that best suits the patient’s needs.
What are the different skin rejuvenation services available for men?
Our male patients can choose from several methods to rejuvenate the skin. IPL rejuvenation, also known as Intense Pulsed Light, is provided to patients who want to improve fine lines and wrinkles, enhance skin texture, and reduce skin discoloration. It can be done on the face, neck, hands, and chest. There are also laser peels available, which include the Spectra Laser Peel and the Erbium Laser Peel. The Spectra Laser Peel is ideal for men with oily skin and enlarged pores. The procedure is popular among our male clients as it does not have any recovery time and results are immediate. The Erbium Laser Peel, on the other hand, is a mildly ablative procedure that removes blemishes, acne scars, and benign lesions from the skin. Results are remarkable, but there is a seven to 10-day recovery period.
What are the different types of fillers for men?
Dermal fillers can be injected on men, just like women. Botox, which is the most popular cosmetic injection in the world, is administered to treat frown lines on the face. Fillers are an option for men who wish to add volume and fullness to their facial skin. This filler eliminates facial folds and wrinkles, as well as nasolabial folds. Juvederm Ultra and Radiesse may also be used to rejuvenate the face.
What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a skin rejuvenation treatment that gives men healthier, younger-looking skin. The procedure involves a “scraping” process that peels off damaged cells on the skin’s surface. During treatment, a handheld device emits microcrystals that peel off the top layer of the skin. This action then triggers new cells to grow to replace the old ones.
